David H. Barton, Managing Partner

David H. Barton is Managing Partner and a founder of the firm of the Law Office of David Barton practices in estate planning, estate and gift taxation, income taxation, elder law, probate and administration of estates, estate litigation, charitable entities and giving, asset protection, business and succession planning for closely held businesses, and guardianship.  Mr. Barton has represented clients ranging from small closely-held and family businesses to high net worth individuals with assets approaching a quarter of a billion dollars.      

Mr. Barton is admitted to practice in the States of New York and Connecticut.  He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York County Lawyers Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association.  Mr. Barton has lectured extensively on trusts and estates issues and is frequently called upon by financial planners, advisors and banking executives to consult on complex estate and tax issues.      

Mr. Barton graduated with honors from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsburg Law Center.  Prior to attending Law School, Mr. Barton earned both a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Hydrogeology and Water Resources followed by a distinguished career as a Hydrogeologist and Hydrogeological Modeler.  To this day Mr. Barton still maintains his Professional Geologists Licenses, keeping current and active in the environmental field.
